Something is wrong...
Our goat‘s udder has been warm, hard, lumpy, uneven and extremely swollen for months now and we don’t know what to do. She gets angry whenever we try to touch it and it’s clearly making her uncomfortable. The vet has come out several times and been relatively useless. However, no loss of appetite or lethargy other than maybe a little in the beginning when this all first started. Clearly it’s mastitis, right!? Vet says antibiotics aren’t penetrating the udder. She is a lawn ornament and has never been milked or kid…. Ugh! Any ideas?!
