Need some motivation 💔

So,I just started Tempting Venom.I had pretty high expectations when I bought it .Unfortunately, I’ve only read till chapter 5 & I’m already struggling to find the motivation to keep reading.My biggest issue is the writing. Personally I never liked her writing style,just read her story for the storyline but this book is too much.So far, it feels like Rina is constantly telling what’s happening instead of showing throughout the characters actions . As a result the scenes don’t have much emotional impact, and everything feels a bit flat and I’m not feeling that much connected to either Preston or Marcus which is making it more difficult to read it.And I’m not exactly liking Preston & Marcus’s monologue ,especially Preston’s it kinda feels same as Gareth.
At this point, I’m might just DNF it.Cause I’m already not sleeping enough because of the World Cup and I also don’t eant to spend my time reading a book I might not like😭. So,I wanna ask,does it improve after the first few chapters? I mean Does the writing become a little better , or is the rest of the book written in the same style ? I’d really appreciate your answer.
