Would you recommend Surgery for me?

I (28) went to a surgeon yesterday after my orthodontist advised me to go there. He told me basically that i am a borderline case. I have a overbite and deepbite. He said there is a good possibility that insurance covers it, but its also not 100%. Prob 50/50. From a medical standpoint he said I do not need it. I would reduce some risks of jaw pain etc but my current jaw-position isnt high risk for jaw pain, sleep apnea etc + i do not deal with any issues rn.

He said i would need 1-2 years of aligerns + wisdom tooth removal + double jaw surgery. And the main reason for this would be cosmetics as medically i do not really need it in his opinion. While im interested in the cosmetic advantages I do think the risks of the surgery and the whole effort is not worth it. Especially because i think that i can get most of the cosmetic advantages (better smile and Chin/Jawline) without double jaw surgery of i really want it. For example through Filler/Genioplasty/Aligerns. What do you think?
