**CCA Phoenix - Review**

The image has been taken from the internet.

A huge thanks to Oun Jaffery for providing me with the unit for testing. Let's begin.

**Fit, Comfort & Build Quality:**
The Phoenix has a metal shell with very good build quality and a premium feel. The shell is small, so it should fit smaller ears easily. It is a comfortable IEM overall, though getting a proper seal was a bit tricky for me. I had to use medium-sized TRI Clarion ear tips.

**Overall Sound:**
If I had only word to describe the Phoenix that would be “Clean”. That’s it. The overall sound presentation is clean, crystal clear, with a bright-leaning sound signature.

**Bass:**
The bass is below average in quantity, so this is definitely not a basshead IEM. For my personal taste, the bass is too low but whatever bass is there the quality is good. It’s very clean and has decent speed to it.

**Mids:**
The mids are clear and transparent, and the instruments sound quite natural, with great instrument separation. It’s honestly kind of crazy how clean this IEM sounds. I really love how piano notes come across on the Phoenix, and I think that might have something to do with the reverb it gets from the metal shell.

That said, the mids don’t carry a lot of body or weight, both in vocals and instruments. Because of that, you don’t really get that atmospheric buildup in the sound, and on certain tracks, the IEM can sound a bit thin. Vocals overall sound decent and slightly energetic, but you can still feel that lack of weight in them, especially on some tracks more than others. Overall, the mids are decent.

**Treble:**
The treble is on the spicier / energetic side. It’s not excessively bright but on certain tracks it can get a bit too energetic. The higher you push the volume, the harsher the treble can get. The details here are good I would say and the treble extension is fine considering the price. I didn’t feel lack of airiness in the sound.

**Technicalities:**
Instrument separation is really good. The soundstage, imaging, and layering are the departments where this IEM shines the most. I was genuinely impressed by how well the Phoenix handles these areas, especially considering it is an IEM under 10k. The more I listened to it, the more I appreciated its soundstage, Imaging and layering. It punches well above its price bracket in this regard.

**Conclusion:**
Overall, if you want a clean sound with good soundstage, imaging, and a bit of energetic treble, the CCA Phoenix is one of the best options under 10k-11k.
