Italian Surname HELP.

I have searched high and low for one fucking italian surname that isn't Russo, Vitale, Moretti, Bianchi, etc. Ive tried Italian records, Nameberry and other baby naming sites, just plain google, EVERYTHING.

Help a girl out bro😭😭

(Btw I've purposefully tried to name everybody very generic Italian names as placeholders, so once I find a surname, I can actually start properly naming them.)

There is seven characters in this family who are prominent in the story that I am trying to find a good surname for. It is a romance novel and our male main character is Nico, whose family we're trying to find a surname for.

However, I don't just want the surname to fit his final draft name, I want it to fit everybody else's so it has to be versatile.

So, the oldest member of the family would be Antonio, which is our main character Nico's father.

Antonio grew up very poor in this small Sicilian town, and he basically got around by stealing stuff. At first it was petty theft, then his tendencies caught the eye of a bigger league crime organization, and he started working for them. Over time, he got introduced to this girl, Julia. They fell in love, they married young, they had a kid young, and that kid is Nico, who is going to be the male love interest of our story.

And then there's Luca, who is a cousin and best friend to Nico. There's also Lorenzo, he's an older cousin of the family. Lorenzo has a wife, Sophia. And then there's Benny, who is a newer recruit to the family once Antonio will pass away throughout the story and Nico takes over the job for him.

Like I said, all the first names are going to change once we find a good surname, so don't go off of what sounds good with their current names. These are all just placeholders for now.

We're not trying to look for a glamorous, ancient history, generational wealth kind of surname. We're looking for really just an average guy you could see in a restaurant, but make it sound like it could be like a famous name though. Because originally the name itself was nothing, Antonio is the one who built the business and made it what it is.

The storyline also spans from 2019-2025, if that helps. All suggestions welcome, I'm crashing out<3
