Flake white in Canada?
I moved to Canada from Texas and I’m just about out of my Williamsburg flake white. I’m trying to find a Canadian vendor and no one has it, there’s just hues and substitutes. I specifically want it for the stability of lead in grisaille. I looked up lead white for Michael Harding and showed me stack white and their website says that they can’t sell it to you without you having a restore’s license. Maybe that’s different from the flake I’m looking for. I’m still seeing flake white on American sites but with tariffs I’m avoiding buying from the USA.
Did the rules around flake white change over the last year or so?? Have they taken that away from us? Is this a Canada thing or everyone thing?
I don’t intend to buy on Amazon but I’m not even finding flake white for any brand on Amazon CA and I assumed if I could get it anywhere I’d find it on such an unscrupulous company… 🤦♀️
