What's the best way to get caught up on lore?

So, my dad's been teaching me how to play magic using the Avatar jumpstart packs, and I've actually really been getting into it(After years of avoiding learning from him. It's funny actually, I've learned two different TCGs to avoid magic, and here I am!)

And he's been showing me his other cards, and telling me about the plainswalkers and stuff about how they think there's gonna be a new one because of a race for a spark or something?

I just wanna know if there's an easy way to like, get caught up on the lore and story and all
