How to take a print off the plate.

I am new to 3d printing and don't know how to take the print off of the plate so that the plate stays clean the as long as possible. Should i:

1, print a bed scraper and scrape prints of?

2, pull the print of with my hands?

3, take the plate of and bend it to get the print of?

I will print PLA basic only to start. Also, how should I clean it and when should I clean it?
