What was the caste/background of Guru Jambhoji (Jambheshwar Ji)?

I've come across different claims about Guru Jambhoji, the founder of the Bishnoi sect. Some sources say he was a Panwar Jat, while others describe him as a Rajput.

Is there any reliable historical evidence or contemporary source that supports either claim? I'd appreciate answers based on historical records rather than community traditions or opinions.

Please do not spread hatred, I am just reading history, there is some problem with caste in it, so I am asking.
