Steam support regarding BS/CS reports
Here is an example of why the BS/CS system is broken. I get it players with 11-12k BS/CS have no issue with it and it works as intended for them, I totally respect that.
Queued for a LP SD match due to a penalty, someone on the opposing team abandoned the match during strategy time, you can clearly see they dont even pick a hero. I swore I saw a safe to leave message and most of us left the game like the usual way. Somehow the monkey king on my team decided to reconnect to the match with his party and manage to complete the game to clear their penalties, yet the game counted for some reason. I have no evidence to argue about the safe to leave because all this was only found out later and I can only snap from replay.
The point is, they reported every single one of us who disconnected the game since strategy time, after they won it. And the reports dropped me ~1000 BS. According to steam support, I somehow abandoned the match as mirana and got punished. I argued with some curse words, another support claimed that I did not receive any reports from the match mysteriously. But why am I fuming? Because the reports were came from a party per my account summary, and my dota was on strict solo ranked mode so the only match I played that had a party in it was this LP SD.
On top of this statement, they confirmed that people can just report others in incompleted games. So it just doesnt matter at this point, 44 perfect matches (~70 commends) with 1 negative match (~3 reports) gave me a net 10 increment in BS. Imagine I am earning those commends in matchmaking like this, owning half the matches while teammate averaging 10 deaths at min15 in another half.

And if you refer to the game score from the game I received my LP penalty in the attachment, it was a last pick am versus an offlane medusa and everyone of us just dying to the mana void. I get it you could argue I deserved the penalty with a hard sup invoker, but do you think topson would get penalised for feeding with a mid cm (?). I pull creep I block camp and I secure a 5 minutes lane for my spectre but he is missing every single creep while free farming, nothing I could do, if you cs the creep your core missed in my pool they will just afk and break items, again nothing you could do.
I know how to play the game. I know the pool below 5k-6k MMR is a swirling mix. I don't complain much despite consistently playing in the shadow pool. But it is already nearly impossible to earn commends in these matches, yet you will get penalised further for doing nothing.
