Bathroom habits (tmi)
I only added “tmi” to hit the character requirement for the title lol, but I ‘spose it works.
My whole life, I’ve had to rush to the bathroom multiple times before leaving the house if I’m entering stressful situations/days. Now in my mid 30s, I still experience this, but with a fun added wrinkle of what feels like psychosomatic constipation. Like, if there’s a reason I’m trying to “empty out”, so to speak, I can’t go to the bathroom regardless of what’s actually happening in my body. Even doing the exact same things I’d do to get things moving (coffee is a go-to for me), even hearing my stomach sounding like things should be happening, nothing actually happens.
Admittedly, I’m a PDAer and this very much could be my body and brain just doing what they do, but I’m curious if other autistic adults have this happen too.
