Sonography Schools in Kansas City

My daughter is interested in sonography (possibly also rad tech). We're trying to research programs in the KC area. Seems to be KU and Concorde Career College. Is that it? I understand that programs are really competitive. Is it really like 200 applicants and 10 are accepted? What do the people do who do not get accepted, but this is what they want to do?

Right now she has one year of college under her belt as a communications major. She's taken college algebra, english, public speaking, which I think are some of the prerequisites.
