AIO Friend 27m tried to create drama between my GF 30f and I 30m

I’ve known this friend for 3 years and our mutual friends are close. He’s not the most pleasant guy to have around but I keep boundaries and that’s been manageable — he has this weird superiority complex and constantly tries to show how he/his choices are better than others.

I had invited a few friends over for drinks, this guy doesn’t drink much, and he apparently asked to speak with my gf when I’m not around to ask her about my instagram (where I’m barely posting)

— “why doesn’t he post any pictures of you?”
— “why doesn’t he even share pictures you post?”

My family and all my close friends know about my gf and we’re great together. But this managed to create a bad feeling in my gfs mind (she nor I paid attention to it) and she shared it with me.

In the past, he has been disrespectful (masked as humor) we’ve both let those things go.

I’m considering cutting this guy out of our lives. Sometimes I feel like people can have real problems in life, quietly go through a lot and we don’t need people who try to make it worse?
