Roverlund Backpack Thoughts

**Background and Other Options Considered:**
I was looking for a dog backpack for Chewie and ended up buying two kurgos (Nomad and GTrain) and Timbuk2 Muttmover. The Nomad was too small but cute but the GTrain just wasn’t the look I was going for. The Timbuk2 was sleek and the runner up but I ultimately liked the aesthetic of the roverlund more plus the laptop compartment won me over.

Posting this if it helps others when choosing a Doggo backpack for their furry friend! I really liked the instagram ad but not going to lie was a little wary because I value convenience for returns so didn’t want to order from their website. However, I then decided it was worth the potential hassle after I kept getting ads 😅😅😅.

**What I love:**
\- Laptop compartment is great for a laptop and just carrying Doggo related things
\- The side pockets are great to hold water bottles and any miscellaneous items like his dog bowl
\- The front pocket with the clips are great to hold his favorite chew toy and other miscellaneous things too
\- Roomy enough for Chewie (Cavapoo) but not too roomy (this was a Goldilocks situation because the Nomad was too small but the Timbuk2 too big)
\- The chest strap helps keep the bag tight and secure on top for me (but see comment below on wanting a hip strap of sorts to further distribute load)
\- I also rope climb so not going to lie I find the rope handle really cool (and it’s convenient) but know it’s not for everyone!
\- Love the aesthetic and people give lots of compliments for the bag and more importantly how cute Chewie looks in it!
\- Comfortable for Chewie in both vertical and horizontal orientation
\- Multiple openings with handy velcro to keep the rolled up openings out of the way

**What could be better:**
\- I would love if in a future iteration they added a hip strap of sorts (muttmover was better in this regards)
\- I would love if you could (and I’m not sure how to
articulate this) make the leash inside the bag shorter just so you could restrict movement a little bit more for the pupper

**How I’ve carried Chewie in it:**
\- Walking around NYC
\- On the subway in NYC
\- On drives around NYC
\- On both upstate road trips and a road trip to DC
