Seeing pulsing dark spots
Background info: I am 24F, am 5'6, and weigh 168 lbs. Other existing medical issues are arthritis, anxiety, depression, ptsd, rosacea, stomach ulcer, seeing static/visual snow, light sensitivity, and androgenic alopecia. I drink occasionally and don't smoke and don't use recreational drugs. I take rogaine for hair loss, biotin supplements, propranolol as needed for anxiety (10 mg), metranidazole cream for rosacea (0.75%), hailey fe birth control pills, omeprazol (40mg), and diclofenac sodium topical gel (1%).
More information about my primary complaint #1. I am experiencing hallucinations in which I see pulsing dark spots. It's like a transparent curtain is being shaken in front of me, and I am just seeing the rippling shadows. This happened most recently on July 5th and on July 10th when I was outside in the early evening. What helped it go away was putting on sunglasses, except when I looked at the sky.
My complaint #2 is about the medical system/admin side. I saw an ophthalmologist in June, and I had some tests done. She said there is nothing wrong with my retina but that because I have some visual snow and because she said my nerves are closer together than normal, she will refer me to a neuro ophthalmologist. I called the two places her office recommended. The first one has only 1 neuro ophthalmologist and has bad reviews, but I got an appointment with him in March of next year. The other place has more neuro ophthalmologists, but every time I call them, they say that her office didn't send them clinical notes so they can't make a referral, but every time I call her office they say they sent the clinical notes. I'm not sure what to do about this. Also, when I message that office on my chart I sometimes get no response. It's hard to have this kind of miscommunication.
