I just feel tired not high, am I doing it wrong?

I’m new to medicinal cannabis, and I’m vaping dry herb. I can’t help but feel like I’m doing something wrong as I just feel kinda tired on it, but not sleepy, just this not so great tired feeling rather than a nice relaxed high like I seem to remember when I smoked BM in my 20’s

I got it for pain which it’s hit & miss with, but I’ve had no cool deep thinking / deep life questions, no music sounding better..I did experience colours looking like they popped more, but that was only once!

Is the problem me? 🤣 I have tropical blues (sativa but makes me more tired than the indica weirdly). Indica is Lazer fuel
