Testicles and Centigrade. Where are we at?

So, whilst Celsius replaced (or became the standardised version of) Centigrade, I was under the impression that testes replaced testicles in a similar fashion. I’m cool with Celsius BTW.
I’m unsure why I find this troubling but I am keen to understand what most use.
I am a stalwart testicles man. Discuss?
