BITS hyderabad phd admission exam query? Is it good? How to prepare?

Myquals msc biotechnology cgpa 8.3 and i have like 5 different research experiences (idk of it matters). Sadly I let my parents convince me to spend past few months preparing for banking exams but now im reconsidering my options. I dont have csir net or gate cleared and i think phd in bits seems like a really good opportunity as a friend of mine was doing it from there. Since i dont have any other exam cleared i have to clear BITS entrace exam. I just dont know what to study for it and how to approach my prep? Also ive been told the exam will be in September or September end but i cant find any confirmation online can someone confirm the date? As well as tell me whats its like there if you are someone whos doing phd from there?
