Why are the 1st seeds of the west performing so well and are they going to be able to keep it up for worlds?

SpoilerWorlds/MSI Related :xddx:

I think this MSI, but in general in the whole year, had the 2 western teams perform really well against the east, especially the LCK, while BLG looks really good now TES performed really badly this MSI and JDG looked beatable at First Stand (for G2 at least, but I think Lyon has grown significantly since First Stand, so I'd argue they would win if they played now maybe).

I saw a lot of people saying that G2 was lucky and won against underperforming teams, but if you beat them consistently you can't just be lucky, you need to play the game well.

What is the reason for this good performance?

Is it just that the meta that made the east weaker or is it because the players are getting better? Do you believe they will be able to keep this level of gameplay or improving even more or when the meta will change they will again become onstage training dummies for worlds? As of now it wouldn't be that weird, in my opinion, if both G2 and Lyon make it to quarters. Maybe one of them can make it to semis as well with the right luck if they perform well again.

PLS, this might be a hot take, it's a genuine question, I'd like to know what is the reason for this performance because I really can't believe that it's just luck. Do not get angry in the replies pls, give some proper analysis and explanation.

PS: sorry for my English.
