Is wearing a kilt disrespectful?

Im from Scotland and im hoping to visit China soon. I hope this isnt a stupid question but would wearing a kilt be seen as disrespectful? Also im a metalhead so i only wear band tshirts and a denim cutoff with patches on it, Would that be frowned upon?
