Which MacBook to buy for general office work? Where to buy them?

My parents are looking to buy a macbook, mainly for my mom. My dad already has a working laptop he’s happy with, but mom doesn’t have her own and has been sharing ours. They mostly need it for general office work; documents, presentations, and video calls. They travel frequently, so a lightweight laptop with good battery life.

Me personally I've never used one myself neither have my parents but seeing how the internet praises them, they must live up to their name. (They are interested in mac because most of their colleagues are using them). I researched online and found the M3 and M4 Air to be suitable for their needs. I recommended them going with 16/512 spec (256 would suffice too but obviously we want it to last long).

Their budget is about NPR 1,50,000 to 1,85,000. Which option would be best in this budget? I've heard about the price hike so that's something to consider.

Any advice would be appreciated especially from people who bought a Mac for their parents or for basic office use. Also, recommendations for reliable stores in Kathmandu with good warranty and after-sales service would be really helpful.
