Picking fruit for someone else and selling it

I was walking by a property that had a large orchard of fruits that were starting to go out of season. Many of the fruits were falling and rotting already. I was wondering if I could strike a deal with the owner, who I know lives on the property, to pick the fruits and sell them. Assuming he doesn't have the time or hassle to harvest and sell the fruits himself, I was thinking of striking a deal where I would pick fruit and pay him per box, then sell the fruits myself. How should I go about this? And where would I sell the fruit? Any advice is appreciated.
