Sawback Trail Update?

I have been planning to do the entire Sawback Trail Extended Route, starting at Lake Minnewanka Parking Lot, finishing at Skoki Lake Trailhead, with my pup. I am a very experienced hiker. However, I am very concerned about both the deadfall and river crossings along the way. I spoke with the Banff Information Centre late last week. She mentioned avoiding the Mount Norquay Parking Lot in order to skip one of reached out bridges. I’ve been told that the water may be fast/high, but is apparently knee height. Regardless, I’m wondering by the banter in this thread if this hike should be completely avoided at this time. I would appreciate the feedback from other hikers. I’ve gotten very minimal information on social media. Thanks so much. 🙏
