Botox for TMJ and chronic pain

I have chronic pain my basically my entire head, jaw, neck, and shoulders. This has been going on for the past 3 years. I’ve tried a night guard (made by a dentist)(also made the pain worse), trigger point injections, physical therapy, and various muscle relaxers. All of these either provided slight temporary relief or did nothing. They aren’t migraines because triptans do absolutely nothing. My pain is all muscle related. I’m getting Botox next week hopefully and trying to stay positive because this pain has been debilitating and nothing as been a permanent fix. I know Botox is temporary but I can get it covered by insurance so I will be getting it as often as needed. Can anyone who’s had it done tell me if it worked? I’m pretty much desperate for light at the end of this tunnel as these headaches ruined my time in high school. I also can’t even lie down without pain as it puts pressure on my trigger points. Please tell me about your good experiences!
