Hashimoto and TCM
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone tried taking Chinese medicine treatments for hashimoto and how did it help improve your symptoms ?
I have hypothyroidism since 3 years and only three months ago a doctor said it is Hashimoto. I have always taken Levothyroxine started from 25mcg, to 38mcg in these years and only now the dr said to raise it to 50mcg. I am a 31 year old female of brown origins. Surpsingly, i don't suffer from weight gain (I was always naturally lean) and I didn't gain any weight during my hashimoto years. However, I have other symptoms like brittle hair, nails. Fatigue, brain fog and wired brain. Skin that is acne prone and has developed marks that appears as if skin is dirt but it not (around the neck and on all body). My skin has become really sensitive too. Whenever I shave or remove hair from any part of my body, I get rashes and bumps that stay for weeks. What are your skincare tips ? My periods are also regular but have definitly reduced in intensity (only two days of flow as compared to 5 days 1 year ago). I also stopped gluten. I do take Vitamin D3+K2, selenium, zinc, magnesium bisglycinate with vit B6 everyday.
I was wondering if TCM can help with all that or not ?
I am also sharing my labs and would like any helpful tips or opinions.
