Sent home for 4 days no pay because I asked to leave early.
Just looking for a sanity check here. Wondering if I'm in the wrong.
I asked my hair stylist if she had any open appointments during the week and she told me she had a cancellation that day at 430. (I get off at 5) So I was like "ok ill ask my bosses"
So I email my bosses if I can leave 50 minutes early to go to a haircut appointment. Admitted I had been out a lot for doctors appointments lately (I just got insurance after 6 months) and would be willing to cancel. BAM, I get a reply that I can leave and not come back till Monday. About $900ish in pay gone. I tried to talk in person to the boss, but they wouldn't talk till monday.
At this point I didn't believe it was the request. I spent the 4 days wondering what I did to possibly deserve this. I couldn't come up with anything plausible. I didn't learn till Monday from another employee, it was because my "reason for asking off wasn't good enough"
Bosses never talked to me. Never pulled me aside. Pretended like all was normal.
For a bit of extra content this is a computer desk job where i finish all of my work most days before 2pm and we get off at 5
So am I in the wrong here?
