First of all, I’m really sorry that it took me so long to reply to you. You absolutely deserved an answer much sooner than this.

I honestly don’t even know where to start, because this message is difficult for me to write.

I want you to know that I genuinely enjoyed getting to know you. Every conversation with you made me smile. You have such a warm, funny, kind heart, and talking with you was always something I looked forward to. I’ll always remember our conversations very fondly.

The truth is that life has been incredibly busy for me over the past weeks. But there’s also something else I need to tell you.

I’ve met someone, and what started unexpectedly has become something very serious. We’ve decided that we want to build our future together, and because of that, I can’t continue talking to you the way we have been.

Out of respect for her, and also out of respect for you, I think it’s right to make a clean break instead of slowly fading away or giving mixed signals. You deserve someone who can give you their whole heart, and I can’t do that anymore.

I’m truly grateful that our paths crossed. Thank you for your kindness, your humor, and for making so many ordinary days a little brighter. You really are a wonderful woman, and I genuinely believe that one day someone will be incredibly blessed to call you his.
