Unusually high initial beta that didn't double

Hi, I already have a guarded heart about this situation but would love to know if anyone has any thoughts or insight as I haven't read of a similar situation.

I had been on an IVF cycle that was cancelled after 7 days of stims because of a single lead follicle. Dr said we could try naturally, it worked and I got my BFP on Monday at about 12 DPO.

First beta was on 14 DPO (4w0d) and was 1379 which is unusually high from what I've heard.

2nd beta on 16DPO was only 1674 a 21% rise which I know is not a good sign

I have seen lots of posts about low and slow rises but not one where initial betas were so high. Maybe because of the stim meds I had a super ovulation that caused such a high number? Anyway, I have another beta tomorrow so I'll hopefully have more info soon.

I had an MMC at 7 weeks in June 2025 and it's taken us this long to get our next BFP, I'm pretty devastated at the moment.
