I am obsessed with Butterflies

The # of times I've listened to this song is in the thousands.

I probably listen to it around 25 times per day.

It is the most perfect song. Every time I listen to it I cry, sob even. It's helped me come into touch with a lot of unprocessed emotions.

Jordana's voice is sooo perfect and silky smooth and then it's combined with the rigid crunchy laser sounds layered on top of the piano.

The drums are perfectly groovy. The bass is perfectly rumbly. The lyrics are amazingly sad.

So many auxiliary sounds that come in and out which keep the song interesting. I notice a new sound every time I listen to it.

The pause 3 quarters thru. The snare that random pops in during the verses. The "ah" sound that pops in.

The laser sounds that come in and out and gets louder or quieter.

The song is OVERWHELMING. It like PUMPS. I feel like I'm gonna hyperventilate when that first breakdown happens at 0:30. The piano is perfect there.

I don't think I've ever heard so many different sounds coming together at once yet working together perfectly. It scratches every itch in my brain and my soul.

I'm a big Tame Impala fan because of the complexity and instrument variety he puts into his songs, but TV Girl is just on another level with Butterflies.

I think if aliens came down to Earth and wanted the perfect song, this would be it.

Influence from so many different genres (Hip hop, House, Rock, Indie, Disco, Techno, Classical, etc), meaningful lyrics, great song to make TikTok edits to, very danceable, not too long not too short, evokes deep emotions, dynamic, etc

I will conceive my future children to this song.
