MC1 Darkest Hours - Op1 Mission 7 - Crate group 1 doesn't exist?

I don't understand wtf is wrong with this mission. I covered the ENTIRE map. Every stupid inch. Even went into some of the forest patches.

I collected every crate. Went as far as I could go without having my MechWarriors swim away from the shore.

Crate Group 1 was never apparently 'completed'. Crate Group 2 completed just fine.

Similarly, the tertiary object 'any additional crates' never completed either.

Is this mission just broken in Darkest Hours 4.2?
