Risport blade size confusion
Hey!
I want a new pair of my RF3 Pro size 250 for winter.
I mailed another pro shops than the one who fitted me last time, because they carry different widths.
The old one mounted a size 9,5‘ MK Galaxy blade. The new one said I need a shorter blade for a size 250 boot.
The Risport table also say 9,25‘ - but only for this model and the RF1 - all the other ones have 9,5‘. Also in 1/3 sizes, a size 250 boot gets a size 9 2/3 blade - so 9,5’ would be more near to this than 9,25’.
I‘m confused. Which size is right? How do I know if I really need a whole new blade?
If I change blade sizes should I go for a better blade directly? I have the MK Galaxy and while my Salchow has improved greatly over the months I have not been working on spins at all since April & only recently started to commit to learning the loop jump on inlines.
I‘m not the biggest fan of spins, I fear tripping over the back of my blade and scratch my toe pick therefore, because my weight is too much in front - could a better/shorter blade solve that? I was thinking Jackson Legacy 8‘. But if I can save money I would stay with the MK Galaxy I have or a size 9,5‘ MK Pro that I bought used. I hoped that this could solve my spin issues because this sub loves this blade so much, but I never mounted it on my old boots and I‘m also not sure if it was sharpened correctly. I would ask that in the shop when I get there, but want to inform myself beforehand.
Thank you so much!
