Maeguana nursing not working, please help

I am on official PVE ASA. I have a baby gigantoraptor directly next to a maeguana with many stacks of mejoberries. Nursing is enabled and the baby is in the nursing range. Despite this, it refuses to eat from the maeguanas inventory. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Either way how do I fix it?
