How does the platoon leaders class work?

I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with it and what does it require. Any asvab or other academic test? I’m currently a college soon to be sophomore and I don’t know how you even contact a marine officer recruiter considering the local marine recruiter station in my area is only for enlisting, unless I’m mistaken?
