What's the biggest thing you wish language-learning apps did better?
I've been learning German for a while, and one thing keeps bothering me.
Most language-learning apps are really good at one thing but rarely everything.
One is great for vocabulary.
Another focuses on grammar.
Another has stories.
Then there are separate resources for listening, speaking, or exam preparation.
I often find myself spending more time switching between different tools than actually learning.
So I'm curious:
If you could design your ideal language-learning app, what would it include?
For me, it would have:
Stories with line-by-line translations
Grammar explained in context
Audio for every lesson
Reading, listening, writing, and speaking practice
Progress that reflects real language skills, not just streaks
This frustration is actually what motivated me to build DipLangs (https://www.diplangs.com/), where I'm trying to bring these pieces together in one place. But I'm more interested in hearing from other learners.
What's the one feature you think is still missing from most language-learning apps?
