Almost all of Reddit thinks I'm insane for wanting independence

Advice/Help

I've mostly asked on financial advice subs for a while now, and I keep getting the same advice to "tough it out" with abusive parents (who've banned me from dating if I live with them, who often joke about arranging a marriage for me with the Church, who basically control my siblings with money and favors). I want independence but I'm really hearing no one in favor of it anywhere I look.

I know this isn't a financial advice sub, but I still feel like I'm so lost on what to do that I can't really find where to look.

My current plan is to stay at home, or with my (less insane) uncle for a year, until I can get a new job or go to graduate school. But this isn't the financially-savvy option so building a life for myself is out of the picture. It's gotten to the point where I've debated going to my local Episcopal church about this
