Best first bike for triathlon and potential 70.30?

I’m a runner and swimmer keen to do a triathlon. What’s the best lower budget (I.e. £1-2k) bikes to look into buying? Considering a Giant Contend AR3 or a Canyon Endurance CF 5. Would be great to get views on these and other options would be appreciated! Thank you!
