Some advice for those of you with noise sensitivities
If you have noise sensitivity, when you look for a new place to live, really stand a listen to the noise levels. Also take into consideration, is this location near a hospital, fire or police station?
I recently got diagnosed last year and so I'm still learning what affects me, and what to look out for etc. I moved in with my partner in February and didn't realise how loud it is 😭.
On one side, a few blocks down is a hospital, in the other direction is a fire station, and I'm next to the city hall where people come to protest, therefore there's cars constantly honking with sirens mixed in. Somedays it's so bad I want to scream, but I hate the idea of having to live with ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones on, I already sleep with ear plugs in as it is.
I feel like I need to live in the middle of a forest away from civilization...anyone want to join? 🫠
