DOR success
TW: Euploids
Diagnosed with DOR (diminished ovarian reserve) at age 30, no endo but have hyperthyroidism. Doctor was visibly shocked when conducting my ultrasound because he told me he expected I could freeze eggs easily at my age. Switched to embryo freezing.
AMH 0.6 and AFC 4-6
First ER (just turned 31)
- Day 5 only saw 3 measurable follicles, stimmed for 13 days. Was expecting to get 5 at most
- 10 eggs retrieved -> 7 mature -> 6 fertilized -> 4 blasts
Just found out all 4 are euploid!! All were day 6 (5AA and 4AA)
Since my AFC and AMH dropped 40% in 6 months (unexplained), going to do another ER in two months.
The process was physically and emotionally tolling. I have several friends in their mid/late 30s who got significantly more eggs than me, so I felt like I was running out of time
I know it’s such a crapshoot, but I feel very lucky despite starting off with fewer follicles
