Company

Just watched Company for the first time, the Raul Esparza version. I am looking forward to watching other versions as well. I know it is a concept musical and it’s not a linear story but I just want everyone’s takes on the story, and on Bobby’s birthday party? Was there a party and he just didn’t go? I genuinely thought right when I finished it that he killed himself at the end, I’m not sure why but “being alive” and the way that everyone was going “maybe we’re at the wrong apartment” and stuff I thought the metaphor was that he died😭 I was pretty confused about that but then looked it up and it doesn’t seem like anyone else has that take so hopefully that’s not how it ends LOL
