If I was an Arabian horse breeder..
I was, I would breed them for a intelligent, sensible, and kind temperament, they would be for endurance and trail riding, not halter shows because.. I don’t want something so delicate and thin it breaks when you sit on it, not saying a very petite person can sit on one but for most people it’s unridable and not bred to be ridden, I would choose the khemosabi type build and lineage, elegant and magnificent but not deformed, a arched but strong neck not extreme, a not extreme concave nose, I think it’s a characteristic of the breed but you shouldn’t overbreed it till it can’t breath correctly, a slightly larger but in breed standard size, like 15 hands and over if possible, strong correct thick legs, not toothpicks like halter Arabians, a deep girth, I want these to be like the true Arabians, legendary endurance and hardiness, like the original Bedouin horses(yes I know the Egyptian lines are smaller but I would want my horses to be useful to modern people) I would want them to serve there original purpose, they wouldn’t win halter competition shows but that dosnt matter! there brains and health first, conformation goes hand and hand with health for ridabilty, temperament goes with brains, now I know most modern Arabian horses are bred to be firey and spirited in the ring, but I want mine to have an Arabian horse spirit but undercontrol(the horse should have the ability to control its temperament with training and in genes) now how would you breed Arabian horses? I want mine to be like khemosabi in build and brains, how would you do yours?
