Should I tell a male friend I have a crush on him?

I’m single female and 65 years old. I have had a crush on someone for several months who hangs out in my social circle of single friends. This man and I have flirted back and forth for the same amount of time. I’d like him to know my feelings BUT I don’t want to change our friendship if he doesn’t feel the same. Our friendship is more important to me. I’ve known him for at least two years if not more. He’s a wonderful human being and quite handsome. Help me out ladies!
