Is there a way to find out who is stalking me from a job?
Ok, hopefully I can post this. I know this may sound crazy - at least thats what my roommate says - but hear me out.
Thirteen years ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life. I posted a sexy story about a coworker I thought I disguised well enough online. I thought it would be anonymous (obviously not so much).
I sm queer and at the time I lived in a very homophobic area. When someone told, the hatred towards me cannot be described accurately, IMO. All the straight women thought I was leering after them, or at least that's what I suspect since no one would tell me or speak to me.
Long story short, eventually I left the state to fet a new start but I never got that. Just this year, I noticed the pattern. Every time I start a new job, without fail, the abuse starts up again after my taxes are filed the next year.
To me, this says the only people who would have access to my W-2 information would be state and/or federal IRS or a contractor. Now technically, the police also would have that ability, but they wouldn't have to wait till I file, right?
Is there a way to find out which state/federal IRS employees might have accessed my W-2? What about the police?
