Got a better job offer right after renewing contract with current employer

Right now l'm on forced unpaid leave for 2 months and 1 just got my visa renewed by current company about 2 weeks ago , but right now I have a offer letter with a better contract can I still resign ?

I'm just feeling nervous cause they just renewed my visa .
