Is the CBT-90-B the most powerful blue emitter? Can you resolder it on an SBT-90 MCPCB?
I would like to do a fun project (responsibly ofc) where I put the most powerful blue single chip emitter in a thrower.
Its footprint would need to fit onto a standard MCPCB to keep the effort within reasonable limits.
(Or maybe just dremel away those large contact feet and the edges?)
Can you de-solder the chip, or is the "Thermal Interface Material" (see page 14 in the Datasheet) a glue-like substance you can't remove?
Has anyone de-soldered a CBT-90 from its proprietary MCPCB and can tell me what it's footprint is?
Any alternative recommendations with similar power? (25W+)
