California Girls is genuinely one of my favorite future songs
I'm seeing a lot of talk about this album - first of all, it's NOT "bad" like a lot of people are saying. Even if it's not super high up in Future's discography, he pretty much hasn't missed for a decade straight. For me, the real standout track is California Girls, if I had to pick one. It seems to be somewhat well-liked, and I know it's "softer" and less of a "typical future song," but something about it is addictive to me. I'll say that it IS very modern and maybe a touch generic, not really boundary-pushing, but that doesn't necessarily matter to me if the song is great. It's one of my favorite future songs right now, but there's some recency bias. The lyrics aren't sad but it feels so sad, kind of like what Andre was saying. Might get told off for having bad taste but I want to know if anyone agrees!
