Help making decent walls

What's the best method for making walls inside the estate/alchemist/ancient house pieces.

I'm trying to make a traditional Japanese house look and need to divide up the rooms and hallways properly.

When I tried using the estate pillars with the builder walls, but they wouldn't line up right leaving a gap.
