Isolation is underrated
There's this idea that 'humans are social creatures' and without social interaction people will go insane. This isn't true at all. I am someone who has gone 7 years without any friends or family, in fact I have gone many months without a conversation, yet I feel fine and am not depressive. Sure solitary confinement is a torture method but that must be due to the lack of external stimulation rather than isolation. Give a guy media and the internet and hes fine. Life can actually be much better alone. Being alone means never getting hurt or hurting anyone, never being humilated or shamed or laughed at. Isolation is underrated and should be more encouraged.
