Apple HW offer eval

Offer Review

Hello folks,

I recently received an offer for a HWE position at Apple. The job salary range is posted between ICT3 to ICT4. They calibrated me at ICT3.

I have a 3 YOE and a Ph.D. in Sci/Eng field from a USA R1 (top 20) school.

The offer:
Location: Cupertino, CA (USA)
Base: 170K
RSU: 165K vesting over 4 years (41.25K/yr)
Annual performance bonus: 5-10% of base (7.5% target)
Sign-on bonus: 25K
Annual performance RSU refreshers: eligible, but estimated range not provided
+ standard relocation package (incl. 12.5K stipend, 2 weeks temp housing, and a small storage/moving pod)

I was told that my evals and feedback were strong, but my calibration came in at ICT3 based on YOE—citing that ICT4 would need 5-7 YoE. It seems to me this offer is average at best based on the levels.fyi data, but that initial equity grant in particular could be a bit weak.

I would love to get your thoughts on this offer considering the current job market, and whether or not to push for higher. If so, what components would be most successful/realistic to focus on and what ranges better reflect that profile?
