What's going on with voice to text?

I see the word I want appear on the and then when I keep talking it disappears. Adding periods is often The same way. Sometimes entire sentences are removed. Random words are capitalized. I think the capitalization problem is because some words are also names. And now, the little circles around the microphone have gone away and it is still listening to me.
