This is almost precisely what I wanted, and it's realistically good enough
I've always wanted an updated COD with access to multiplayer maps, weapons, accessories, perks, etc. from every previous game available. It wasn't realistic because, despite the cookie-cutter accusations, each iteration of COD has different mechanics (jet packs and sliding, and doors, for example).
What they did instead is they brought two of my most favorite CODs to a modern platform, without changing it so much that it feels like a live service cash grab. Not having a battle pass is amazing. I'd love to use my skins and guns from MW19 but that's asking a bit too much I think.
The only thing they could do, really, to make this better, is port World at War also and then port them over to Switch 2.
These ports are a win for us all. It feels amazing getting into hardcore matches in these games again. I just hope it lasts a long time before it all slips into core tdm and domination. Nothing against those modes, but I prefer hardcore tdm.
